Finally... Officially part of the Org!

After months of lurking and gathering information, I pulled the trigger on a 2011 Tuscan Sun Maxima with premium, sport and tech packages with 27xxx miles. Everyone here has been very informative and I have learned a lot ("search" is your friend). I am coming from a tastefully modded 4th gen Altima. I went back and forth between this car and the G37 but in the end I chose the Max since it was a better fit for me and there were a few features the G didn't have like the Pano roof and heated steering wheel. With the weather we have been having lately in Atlanta, I'm glad I have a fwd car (the awd G wasn't in my consideration). I look forward to posting pictures soon. Mods to be completed by this weekend (weather permitting) rims/tires installed, pro kit and '12 sport grille. Windows were tinted last weekend along with 6K fogs/5K low beams and 5k leds in the interior. I'm glad this site was available, it really helped me in making my purchase and gave me a lot of ideas on how I wanted to mod this car.

Congratulations!

This site is a wealth of information. I've learned a lot about my Maximas over the years here.

Thanks all for the warm welcome. Rims and springs installed. I'm still waiting on my grille. I just don't know the best way to post pictures. Question, I know that this has been discussed in several threads but is the rear sway bar and strut tower brace a must? Will I fell a noticeable difference?

The car already comes with a strut tower brace from the factory that does a good job. It is not a must have upgrade. You will definitely notice a difference with the RSB. This is an upgrade that you will thank yourself for adding on.

Welcome

First off a nice warm welcome. Second off I'm in the same boat. Just bought my 2013 Nissan Maxima SV, well not just bought but is still has less than 2k on her. Anyway, following what others have said on here about their Maximas I'm not surprise that the 09-14 models haven't had more Mods built for them. I personally love the setup, its a sexy 4 door sedan and its in a price range where your not dealing with daddy bought me car teens.

I am surprised however at the low availability of decently price Mods. Sure you can find and intake and a heavier than stock exhaust but where is the bloody cream filling? I'm talking about a supercharger/turbo kit a real dual exhaust kit and or decent header setup. I would have gotten a 370z but you can't stuff more than one girl in them at a time, I shouldn't have to suffer because of my decision on a four door.

Ok now that its out there I can say I've always loved the VQ35DE they are a very smooth engine to work with. The Maxima is just brilliantly put together despite what many may say about paying too much for a non luxury brand. In the US is the only place you will find Infinity or Lexus everywhere else it is just Nissan or Toyota. I don't see why US has to try and church it up to sell the same platforms to Senior citizens. Anyway... to be continued...

Welcome to the forum.
You know I almost pulled the trigger on a 2010 Tuscan Sun with the Cafe Latte interior, it was a damn nice looking car!
