2010 maxima color change

I have a 10 maxima sv that is crimson black and I hate it. I look at the white maxima 2010 with the pana roof and regret not getting that one does anyone have suggestion on how to change the color. I'm stuck with the car and trading up is not an option. please share any comments or suggestions. thanx

Plastidip won't really help with such a steep transition. Try vinyl wrap or full on paint

Dipping would cost you around $150-200 (estimated at $6 a can for white dip and $7-$8 for glossifier for the all white dip and glossifier and a full paint job with at least DuPont quality would start at $3500

I also have the CB and will agree that the finish will look like $hit especially in direct sunlight if not properly maintained. Just washing and waxing won't cut it.
It takes a lot work but a DA polisher goes a long way in making it easier.
Like the Super Black the Crimson Black is drop dead gorgeous when properly maintained.

I also just got the Crimson Black Max. And I think it is stunning in direct sun light. This coming from a guy that had all Black Maximas. I love Black and the Crimson looks black in certain weather conditions.

Black cars or dark cars for that matter show every flaw, u spend more time at the wash or detailing it then driving it. That's if your crazy like me, moving onto the white I couldn't be more happier

Although a super clean black car is one of the prettiest sights

Yeah I was looking really hard at a Winter Frost premium before settling on the CB...with the urging of my wife, you know how that goes.

I was looking for winter frost and never even came across one durring my four month search. I got my second option Silver instead. I would never get black/cb. It rains way too much in this city.

Vinyl wrap would run you 3k or so.
Cheaper then painting it.

Vinyl wrap only last about 3-5 years though. For that cost id just spend the extra money and get it fully painted

Dip it the color your think you want for a year. Cheap enough way to feel things out. Then go Winter Frost... because it's the best.

To the OP. If you are going to change the color of your car, then do it right and have it professionally repainted. Yes it expensive because as there is a lot of hard work and time involved. In the end you will get a first class job that you will be proud of. The other two alternatives suggested here are cheap, temporary and leave you with a very amateur looking job, regardless of who does it. Those methods might be ok for certain small jobs, but spread out over the entire surface of acar, the imperfections will be showcased for anyone and everyone to see. A fine looking automobile should have a quality paint job, not something that is slapped together over a few days.

Ask yourself this question. Would you have bought your car from the dealership if it was already plasti dipped or wrapped? Your answer will guide you to your final decision

I got one and have more compliments on it than I have ever had on any of my cars. I don't know why you don't care for it. Personally I think it is the best color for any of the cars.

My experience as well. My 4th Maxima and my favorite of all the colors I've had.

That would be expensive to get the DuPont quality Pearl White. That's why I simply got Pearl White with the Pano roof and was done with it! If you save a little here and there you could probably get that 3,000 dollars. There is a Maaco down here that does pretty good paint jobs from what I have been told but I don't know if you have that where you are. Good Luck though!

Get a two car garage , a couple buds, and some sheets of vinyl and do it yourself. Do all your research and try to do your trunk. If you can do that, then wrap the whole car yourself.
