Antenna issues after mod

Hey all,

So I built a Cellphone mount for the top right corner of my windshield. I wanted to have power for it at all times so I bought a 12v to 5v converter, wired it into my mirror, and ran the usb cable up the mirror wireway and over to cellphone mount.

Since I did this, my radio has not been the same. Local stations that ive never had issues with are fuzzy and commonly drop out. Does anyone have any idea what could have caused this? I wouldn't have thought the antenna would have run anywhere near this area nor would I have expected interference from the low power transmitted through the wires.

Does anyone have any insight as to what could be causing this or know exactly where the antenna runs on a 7th gen? Its a 2011 to be exact. No tech package.

Thanks!

The antenna is in the rear window. Check out the audio visual section of the FSM for antenna wiring information.

Remove your converter, does the antenna work normally?
