Ok, new here, didnt see a general mechanical q/a section so here goes..

I have a 10 SV Sport Pkg, and recently I have noticed when I unlock and enter the car I get the rapid beep like ive locked the key inside. I generally press the brake and start thr car. It starts and the beeping stops after thecar has started.

65k miles, no mechanical problems evrer, new battery within the last 4 months. Issue started about a week ago.

Anything will be helpful. If not allowed, please direct where to post the Q.

 

Is the door locking when you get in the car? I know sometimes when getting in my car the lock button is pushed by something in my pocket and when I close the door the same thing happens.

 

I have a similar issue. When I get in the car in my garage, close the door, the beeping starts. I press brake pedal, push the button and all is good. For testing I tried the 2nd keyset that I got from dealer, and no beeping with that other keyfob.

No idea why this is happening, but I will ask dealer. It might be because my main keyfob is 1.5 years old and needs a new battery? but car does not show the battery pictogram on the dash as per the owners manual guidance of what to expect when the fob battery is weak.
