HELP! Front left wheel bearing issue

Not sure where to begin but I brought Maxine in for what I thought would be a simple brake job but it turned out to be that both wheel bearings needed to be replaced. Thankfully they're covered under my extended warranty as I have 62K on the clock...Here is where I have an issue; the service advisor called me and said they got the right side completed but while trying to do the left side the "drive shaft and spindle knuckle" seized up and they couldn't complete the job. They ordered the parts to replace the seized up components in order to finish the wheel bearing replacement but Nissan won't cover it...They've had my car for 30 days now and won't budge. Has anyone come across this issue before? The bill is somewhere around $1,400 parts/labor...I feel like I shouldn't have to pay for that. I'm trying to escalate with Nissan but no support...any thoughts or ideas?

Why won't the extended warranty cover the repairs?

The local Nissan dealership advised me to call consumer affairs which I did and they claim that the warranty won't cover the repairs because the seizing was caused by corrosion from water damage. I'm like WTF!? Something just doesn't sound right but I'm not getting anywhere...

Did you ask them to show you in your warranty where corroded parts caused by water is not a covered item. There has to be a specific statement in "what is not covered section" of the warranty. These cars do operate in wet conditions.

Honestly I hadn't asked them to provide me with that documentation. That sounds like a good idea though. I'll try and see what happens...

Thx,
