Maxima Owners-- The Most Loyal?

I was reading some posts on this forum and started thinking about how loyal Maxima owners seem to be.
My current 2014 Maxima SV Sport is the third Maxima I've owned in my lifetime. I just always seem to love the Maxima product that Nissan puts out and from some of the posts I've seen, I'm not the only one...

I bought my 1998 SE new. Kept it for 16 years, loved the car. Never needed to take it to the dealer because it was very well built and reliable. The only reason I got rid of it was due to rust.

I was not planning to buy another Maxima but after looking around I felt the 7th Gen was the best looking and performing car for the money. Not boring like an Accord or Camry. And not overpriced like Audi's, Infiniti's and BMW's. So I bought a 2014 Sport. I love a lot of things about the car, such as the looks, interior and handling. I still believe you get a lot of bang for your buck with the 7th Gen. Unfortunately the quality of the vehicle and the support provided by Nissan and it's dealers has been disappointing. Don't know how long I will keep the 7th Gen but it's unlikely my next vehicle will be a Nissan.

You are correct that Maxima owners are loyal but I feel that Nissan is dropping the ball as far as quality and service are concerned and I do not expect that this loyalty will continue.

Had a 91 for about 7 years, went euro, and came back to a maxima.

I think there's a larger number of people who are blindly loyal to the Toyota Camry

I agree that Nissan has taken backwards steps in quality and service. Too early to tell for me if this will be my experience with this car-- hoping this Maxima is as reliable as my past ones.

My first Maxima was a '98 as well. Loved the car! Only reason I traded it in was to get the 2002 Maxima which came with the 6MT...

That and the 6th gen were my favorite maximas. The 7th gen is my third and im hoping it all works out. so far, I love the car. I would say camry, accord, maxima, most lexus/BMW models have the most loyal owners.

"Please do not put FUGLY chrome pillars on a Maxima, I can get by with rain guards but chrome pillars look"...CHERNMAX

I love the look of chrome pillars, sets off all the rest of the chrome, makes the car come alive especially when its all polished. This 09 SV sport is my second one, had a 5th gen GLE for about 6 years.

I rode in Datsuns (built by Nissan) in many parts of Japan in the late 1950s and early 1960s, owned Datsuns in the late 1970s, and carpooled in a RWD diesel '82 Datsun Maxima in 1982 to 1984. The name changed to Datsun-Nissan Maxima in '84, and then to Nissan Maxima with arrival of the FWD '85 second generation. I bought two '85 Maximas in October of '84, and never looked back. I have owned nothing but Maximas ever since, and always buy the first model year of each Maxima generation.

My Maximas have been the most reliable vehicles I have ever owned (been driving since the late 1940s), and having been fortunate to have a Nissan dealer I really trust and like just four miles from my home, I will be buying EVERY Maxima generation until I pass from this earth (which, being an octogenarian, will probably not be too far in the future).
