Puttin' Money Into The Max...

Hey guys, looking for a bit of advice. I have a black 2014 s that is pretty much stock. I wasn't gonna get into modding this car but then the wife bought me the fog light kit for Christmas and now I have the bug lol. I'm curious as to what some of u would recommend as a good starting point to began modifying this bad boy. I'll have about $1600 to throw at her so I can't do everything I'd like to but bills suck. I'm undecided on if I wanna get a big item like rims or coilovers or get a few smaller items like a r2c intake, racingline y pipe etc.. Appreciate any advice

Buy $1600 of gas and save it until the price goes up to $4 a gallon this summer. Use the cheap gas then. You should be able to double your money and get what you want.

I suggest adding splash guards, spoiler, tint and other OEM upgrades first.

How about putting $1600 towards bills?

Intake won't do anything for you.
Y-pipe, rear sway bar, window tint, and eibachs would be my recommendation.

Agreed. But stillen front splitter. Not spoiler. Your choice obviously but I think splitter is much nicer and every tom dikk and Harry doesn't have one. I would recommend the rear diffuser also from stillen.
Also grill replacements, the stock ones are hideous. Imo.

Tint, Rear sway bar and springs, paint calipers (especially since the car is new(no rust to grind off yet), all lighting, in that order.

FWIW, I read your post properly. Sounds like you are saving up for your mods while paying your bills. Smart! Since you can't do everything at once, I say shoot for the above items first, and save up for more stuff in the future. Wheels/tires and anything that would require paint and/or body work requires a deeper dig in your pocket. Plus the car wont really sit right if you get the wheels and no drop.

Thanks guys for all the advice And that is correct bro, I been saving up but I'm just tired of seeing all these sexy maxima's while mine is pretty much stock. I'm not worried much about OEM stuff, I work for nissan so I get good deals on that stuff and they can just take it out of my check. Oh and as soon as I bought it I painted the calipers red the next day at work and I would never get rims without dropping it, I been in the game to long to do that lol. Only thing not on my radar was a rear sway bar, thanks again :-) oh and I did black out my grill the same day I painted my calipers

Rear sway bar and if you are not going to track it and make adjustments then go for the Stillen. But if you want the adjustable then go for the Racingline sway bar. Happy modding.
