So as you can see in the pic, my passenger side tail light cracked somehow

Do i need the whole assy - 26550(RH)
or is part# - 26547(RH) just the plastic piece i would need being I really don't need the whole assembly with wires and such

You are going to need the whole assembly. Nissan 26550-9DA0B is the part number. It sucks but you will get everything in that square. Make sure you buy OEM because TYC now makes an aftermarket part. Should be around $170 on eBay for the OEM. 26547 is just the black plastic piece on the inner part of the tail light.
