I just purchased a '11 Maxima and when I turn it on, the display screen has a black bar half way down. I looked online and I saw that other people have the same thing, but I'm not sure if it's a design feature (seems strange if that's true) or something I just don't have activated.

If anyone has insight into what's going on here, that would be great to know what's going on.

The radio and hvac are two different screens placed together

 

So this is intended to always have that black bar separating the two?

 

You could always replace it with a tablet
