2010 maxima need some repair and not sure if worth it....
Well I went to dealer today to get alignment and balancing because my car shakes at 70+ and the guy said they will do it.
After a whirl he came back and is like It does not need alignment and need the 2 rear arm controls replaced....
So he told me he can do it for $1000 even+ taxes. I asked him how much for parts and he said $315 each then rest is labor.
Well I told him I'll come back later if I want it done.
I went to the Nissan parts store their and found the 2 rear control arms for $204 each....
So Ya not sure if it's worth replacing by them anymore or what....
Just looking for feedback from you guys on what to do...
It's a 2010 maxima with 76000 miles.
Thanks.

That's not a job you need to have performed by the dealer. It's pretty straight forward so if you have a smaller local shop in your area that you trust you may be able to have it done for considerably less. At the very least purchase the oem arms online then just have a shop out them in. Most repair shops mark up parts to increase profits. Just be sure they install customer purchased parts. Good luck!
Definitely get a second opinion and if possible see if you can find a shop you trust that will put on customer bought parts. I have 3 shops that I use in KS and because they know how particular I am about the maintenance on my cars, (5 total).
They know that I've done my research and that I buy good quality parts. I only let the dealership touch my car for warranty work and the rare occasions when I don't have the time to do my own oil changes.
$1000 dollars sounds reasonable but based on my dealings with my shops that would most likely be a $600 or $700 dollar job if I were getting it done.
