Another Offset Question....

Okay fellow members I hope I'm in the right forum but I have another offset question. My brother-in-law is looking to buy a set of rims at a great price. The specs are:

20x9 +25 (245/35/20)
20x10.5 +25 (285/30/20)

will this work on a 2014 Max which will be lowered on Megan Racing Coil overs? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Moderators please move to correct forum. Thank you

Really low on coils it could work, but with a narrower rear tire. Not going to work on eibachs.

I would recommend a different set myself, and I'm on coils. Those aren't worth the probable headaches with the rear.

My wheels have the same specs. The fronts are fine, but the rear will have a poke. 285/30-20 will be to wide, i'm running a 275/30-20 right now in the rear not lowered with rear fenders rolled slightly. I rub a little going over big bumps with people in the rear. I'm planing on going down to a 265/35-20 or a 255/35-20 like suggested by another Max owner befor I lower my car.

That looks like 1/4" in the front and nearly 1" in the back. Is that correct?

Couple quick shots so people understand poke as it relates to offset and a mild drop since I haven't posted here before. I have no poke relative to these specs and where my setup is to the fender so someone desiring poke can figure out how much further out they would need to go beyond this to achieve the look they want.
If you are going with the akebono setup then you need to do your homework since spoke design, offset and wheel width all work together to determine whether or not you can clear those front brakes. In my case, I wanted no spacers at all and no poke but i did want to get close enough to the fender so it looks nice "to me" without having any issues, spacers or fender modifications.

SPECS:
Savini wheels
20*8.5 Front ET32 on 245/35 and
20*10 Rear on 285/30 ET40
Ebach drop
no fender mods
no rub at all

Pictures don't work for me, and don't know if you have any poke or not with those specs, though I would doubt it.

no poke at all. Just trying to help set the context for other folks on what these specs look like. I have no clue why these pics don't show here. When you open in new tab, they pop right up since they are flickr hosted. Thanks for that brake thread by the way. Saved me alot of time.

Asav, do you have Akebono brakes on both front and rear? I've been looking around, and it looks like you have the closest setup to what I'm trying to achieve. At this point, I have front Akebono brakes to install this weekend and am about to install wheels with the following specs:

20*9 Front ET35 on 255/35
20*10 Rear ET45 on 285/30

I'd also like to not use spacers anymore, but get it lined up nicely with the fender without having any clearance issues or need to roll the fender.

Those specs should be fine, but it will depend on spoke design.
My 20x9 et30 fit with about 4mm of clearance on the spokes.

This is where I had alot of drama trying to weed through wheels to MAKE SURE I would have no issue even though I understood how to calculate the numbers I wanted.

OP , I do have Akebono front and rears on my setup. Don't assume it's all good because you see a wheel width and offset on another wheel which clears those brakes. Spoke design can get tricky and mess you up like MAximaDrvr said. Get the akebono front/rear template and put it on a cardboard to do a test fit on an actual wheel if possible. I did this myself, but I also talked to someone who put my same rims on the G37 sports sedan which have similar offset range as the max and the akebono package standard.

FWIW if you have to do this blindly, you can correlate offset from wheels that show they fit on the element wheels website. They have a very large fitment database and you can pick offsets etc. Use the G37S sedan to do this. Then cross check that information against the specs you want for tire size/offset/ wheel width vs the look you see from many folks here with similar specs. Thats the easiest way to do this blindly with no test fit.

Thanks for the help, guys. I used the front brake template and it looks like I'm gonna need a 5mm spacer.

I've got 20x9 ET35 for the fronts and 20x10 ET45 for the rears.
