Brakes and where to get?

Brakes and where to get?
Just curious, is there a certain brand of pads and rotors recomended here as well as a certain place to purchase them? Back in my BMW days the Brembo rotors with the Pagid or Akebono pads were the go to pairing.
Would prefer a name brand as the stuff the PO used is total junk and has carquest written on it. Thanks for any recommendations.

I just replaced my front brakes with Hawk HPS pads and Centric High Carbon Cryo treated rotors. Big improvement over the crap stock rotors and pads Nissan uses.
I'm not a big fan of drilled and or slotted rotors for regular street driving...

Brake Upgrade
Good info. Thanks for the post. Brake Performance.com is good site. I wish i could find brembo brakes for this car but having no luck. But this site has decent calipers and now i need to decide between Red and Blue. I think i'm going to go blue since you don't see that every day.

Any thoughts about maxbrakes elite x-- series? [xd (drilled) or xs (slotted) or xds (drilled slotted)]. I like they are painted black - of coarse where the pad makes contact won't stay black but everything else should stay nice and black for a while. I hate rusty rotors.
They claim they use g-3500 iron - which is pretty good stuff from what I can tell. EBC uses g-3000. The maxbrakes are claimed to be double disc ground, mill balanced, and have OEM configuration on the vanes. I really don't see why the EBC would cost so much more. And you can get a good price for a set with what seem to be decent ceramic pads.

Well I think I found them on their website. If you put in a 09 maxima they list and xDS set of 4 for $257. Part number appears to be KT077183. http://maxbrakes.com/c-1002950-brake...ries-kits.html
But I can't find them anywhere else.
