Will this affect the alignment?
So I just put new tires on my car and I also had an appointment to get an alignment done tomorrow, but the guy who was putting the tires on said that the front left and rear left sway bar links need to be replaced so my question was will those affect the alignment at all? Should I still get the alignment done tomorrow or should I wait until I replace those?
I called today in the morning before my appointment to ask them if they know and they said that technically it's all part of the suspension so for the alignment to be fully accurate it would be better to do it after I replace those
Have they even attempted to do an alignment? Suggesting these parts without actually trying to see if the alignment can be set into the 'green' is just an upsell for them to sell you subpar quality parts. If you are concerned, Racingline and Stillen sells those parts.
Oh no they were not the ones who told me about the parts.. I went to a different guy that I knew so he could put on my new tires for cheap and he looked at the car and said that those need to be replaced but I already had an appointment somewhere else where I was gonna do the alignment right after I put on the new tires but I canceled it. Now I ordered the parts off ebay for $15 each and I'm gonna go back to that guy so he can replace them for me. He just can't do alignment
