3.5 oil issues

hi guys,,interested in purchasing a 2012 maxima but want to know if those 3.5s have an oil consumption issue like the 2002 and 03 maximas,,

Not an issue... we have a handful of members w 200k miles and plenty of 100k milers and i've never heard of an oil consumption issue.

I have a 2010 sv prem with 60k and I change the oil every 3k and have not added any oil in between. Hope this helps.

Yeah, I typically run around 10,000 mile oil change intervals. At 149,000 miles, it has never used oil and I've never had to add oil between changes.

Getting ready this weekend for my 59th oil change on 2009 (295,000) and I change every 5,000 miles with Mobil 1. No oil consumption at all and my tail pipes still look clean (ok so they are getting a few rust stains but no carbon) I could probably go 10,000 miles but 5000 mile intervals was a stretch for an old school guy doing 3000 for the last 40 years!
