I personally like the second one. The question I have would be which route you trying to go? You want to look more shine and looks/VIP'ish? or you want more of an tuner feel? From the picture the second one looks matte a gives more of a modified tuner image. The first one looks more for those who just buy the car get tint and throw rims on it and call it a day or they go for the whole lowered life with chrome trim. Both look good though, but my answer is the second one=).

Thanks guys. I love the 2nd one too but the 1st one pops more. Not sure which route yet.

The tires that were linked with them were 235/35/20. Would that work instead of the 40?

Too thin in my opinion. I have 40 series on mine and looks great and rides nice.

More info please....

what color is your car? like someone else said are you going for the tuner look or the VIP? Attention getter I'd say the first one, something out of F&F then go the 2nd route lol. More info would help though.

A 245/35/20 would be a better tire size choice.
It keeps the speedometer accurate and is the correct up size tire.

The first number is the tire width. You shouldn't go narrower than the factory equipment in my opinion.
The second number is the aspect ratio. That is the sidewall height as a percent of the width.

A 255/35/20 has the same height as a 235/40/20, but narrower tread.

so 245/40/20 may be the sweet spot then, 245 is the factory size now

My choice would definitely be the second one. As you can tell with the split vote there won't be a clear cut preference from this group . Let us know what u decide!

second one looks nicer. If you over 30 I vote for second. If you in 20s, i guess the shine may impress same age friends.

I have 225x50x17 tires. Big wheels will cost you lots of power and MPG. Already the 245mm on 18 " is too much for this car. This is a sacrifice where performance is thrown to gargage for looks. with 20s... you ain't gona be jumpin nobody at the traffic lights.

No, the sweet spot is 245/35/20, which would be the factory correct plus size.

245/45/18
245/40/19
245/35/20

See the pattern?

They will poke just a little at stock height.
They will fit though.

Yes, the edge of the wheel will stick out 2-4mm past the fender. That is called poke.
Mild poke is what you are looking at. Some people get wheels that poke much more, then stretch the tires so the tread stays inside the fender.

When you lower a car, the wheels are pulled in closer to the body.
The control arm is a fixed length. As you lower the car, the angle of the arm increases, and it's horizontal axis measurement decreases.

How about the 20x10 with the 40mm offset. That is the size I am getting next.

Tire will be 255/35/20 square.

10et40 fit fine. A 255 is a bit stretched. A 275/30/20 would give you a vertical sidewall, but it is a more expensive size.

Higher offset. You want between 30 - 35 with a 9" wide wheel at stock height.

275 won't be happy on the front and I like to run a square setup on FWD.

Those look nice. I like the first ones. Has anyone thought about adding the SR wheels from the 2016 Max to our 7th gen? Someone was willing to sell me theirs for a steal but I don't know how they would look on a Pearl White 7th Gen. I don't believe his are chrome.

275/30 with a 20x10 40mm on Eibachs won't rub even cornering under compression up front? I need a size that won't rub even full compression in a corner.

I would not, too narrow and too small of a diameter for my taste.

not too big of a fan of those, looking really into the ones i posted, only reason i added the 3rd one half way down was my concern in rubbing when turning and of i did 20x10, how do i get them without poking out.

im assuming +25 offset means they are pushed out further then no offset. Im new to all this and never dealt with "offsets" on rims

Lower offsets will stick out further than high offsets. Et0 will stick out 25mm farther than et25 if the wheels are the same width.

I'm on coils, so I can't answer with eibachs. But I'm lower than with eibachs and have no issues. I'm running a 9.5 with 275s.

20x10
5x114.3
+40

so that should work all around without them sticking out really?

You appear to be running a 245/35 on a 9, same as my current setup. My question is will a 20x10 on 40mm and 275/30 not rub up front even at full compression and cornering.

9.5 et38 275s all the way around.
Running 1 finger gap ride height in the front and tucking tire in the rear.
