Ok, this started happening about 2 weeks ago, It seems like it has gotten worse!
Start the car up, put into R with foot on brake and "pop" then put into D with foot on brake and "pop" , it also does it when I drive, it seems like it makes a popping sound every time I lift off the gas pedal or give it gas, momentum shift! but always when I hit the gas and let off the gas!
I have replaced all shocks and struts, all Link arms front and back and rear sway bar. I have also replaced my front wheel bearings and half shafts! Seems like either tranny is failing or half shaft is going bad! anyone else have this?

Did the popping start before the suspension work or after?

Also how many times has the tranny fluid been changed?

My guess is motor mounts. They will pop like hell when they are shot as you take off.

Yeah that is the best place to start. At near 150k miles a lot of parts like this are worn.

The popping started after the suspension work, but not coming from suspension, as it only happens when press gas and let off gas, if I'm already cruising (coasting) and hit the brake and coast again it will NOT make the sound.
Interesting that Motor Mounts were suggested as my co-worker did say they look bad. Are these hard to replace for a back yard mechanic or is this a job for a professional?

With the motor mounts for this car, it's better off with a professional
