Question about trunk

When you click your trunk open what does it do?

Mine just pops and does not raise at all. It takes decent effort to raise and does not close without a good slam.

I had two '13 Altimas that when the trunk was popped the lid would raise 6" and was a breeze to open/close and latched well.

How is your trunk?

Just unlocks. I have to raise and lower. It isn't that difficult.
You may need new gas struts.

Unfortunately that's how the trunk works. If the gas struts don't hold it in the up position then you probably need new supports,
otherwise they're fine.

Does yours need a good push to get it to close? My Altima you could close with one finger, this needs more.

It's not an Altima.

My 09 SV Sport will close and lock with very little effort. Gravity does most of the work. Just get the lid started down and it will close and lock itself.

Thank you Richard, that is what I was looking for. I may need mine adjusted.
