CV Axle Swap

Hi All,
I've been lurking here for a while, just registered to post a question I couldn't find the answer to.

I'm swapping the axles on my 09 Altima, along with some other work. When I pulled the drivers side axle, a bunch of fluid, which I'm guessing is the super precious CVT ATF, drained. Is that ATF? Or is it something else? Do I have to take it to the dealer now to get it re-filled? I just had them pump / flush / change it.

Thanks for any help you can provide...

Yes, that is cvt fluid. When re-installing don't forget to get a new seal for the axle shaft. Replacing the fluid is straight forward, remove the transmission "dip stick" from the filler neck, add some NS-2. Do not over fill and measure after cvt is warm!

exactly what LT said, Do not cheap out do the seal or when it leaks you will have to do the whole job again!
