Slip then vibration....

Hey!

So I have an odd one.... I hit a trench in the road as a construction crew decided to put a pipe in and not cover the hole.... But I have always had a bit of a vibration from the passenger front....

It took out my inner tie rod which I changed and then aligned. But I am finding in the mornings that when I take off out of my neighbourhood that I get a bit of... What feels like skip from the wheel and then it feels or if balance. I changed the passenger side wheels and it worked great for a day, bit then back to the same.... What feels like slip while turning left and then a wheel that seems out of balance....

Thoughts?

My first thought is half shaft or maybe ball joint. Fortunately, both are easy fixes on our 7th gens and not too expensive for parts.

I have picked up a drivers axle... that seems to be the vibration portion. It is going to be interesting to see what happens.

I am wondering with the electronic box on our steering.... when it is off does it allow movement on the drivers side? I am finding a "squishiness" to it on the drivers side when I am rocking the wheel back and forth. I have already changed the inner tie rods on both sides. The rack feels pretty solid though...

I would replace the control arm and outer tie rod end while you have the axle out. I was surprised how tight and responsive my 09 became when i changed mine out.
