Hit and run

Someone just hit and run my parked car. What do you guy's think? Is the rear quarter panel fixable or needs to be replaced?

In the long run it is usually cheaper and a lot less labor involved when panels are replaced. If the wheel was hit they will replace that also. Did they ever catch the moron that did this?

I was parked in a st with no cameras or anything so I doubt he'll ever be caught. My insurance denied claim since I don't have info of the person who hit. Wheel isn't bent or scratched luckily

Why did they deny the claim? stuff like this is usually covered under uninsured motorist or the comprehensive or collision part of the policy.

ouch that sucks, sound like a reckless driver texting not paying attention or possibly a driving too fast and swiped your car. From the look of it. Yeah your insurance should be covering that under uninsured motorist since it's a hit and run. Who's your insurance, since you have that right to get it fix.

I had the same thing happen to my 2014 Maxima 3 weeks ago, only not as much damage. American Family covered it, minus my deductible ($500). What is wrong with people today? I wouldn't think of damaging someones property and not taking responsibility for it. The lot that I was in had no cameras either.

I try to avoid parking on the street. I know if it were to get hit 9 out of 10 times they would run.
