Today was an extremely cold day and I've began to have steering problems... I've never had any steering problems and it's extremely difficult to handle. I we set up an appointment with a dealer but would like to know if anyone else has experienced this, what did you do, what happened and what was the outcome?

 

Exactly what are the steering problems you're having? What were the road conditions? What make tires are you running, and how good is the tread? Are you having mechanical problems with the steering or control problems keeping it on the road?

 

The problem is with the steering wheel... When I'm trying to make a turn... It becomes extremely stiff and hard to turn.

 

Have you checked the level of the PS fluid in it's reservoir?

 

The steering rack is set very low in the vehicle, you can damage it if you strike a parking stop, when cracked it empties the PS fluid.
Also a torn/loose boot can allow dirt inside and the seal fails.
In both cases a new rack is usually the solution.
