HI! We are looking at buying a 2014 SV sport or premium maxima and I was glad to find this place! We are checking out two cars tomorrow from the dealers they are at so we can compare them. Both are 2014’s. One has almost double the miles of the other though, with one at 35k and one at 70k. The one with lower miles Carfax shows that it has had its struts replaced while still under warranty. Is this a common thing for Maxima’s?

Anything in particular we should look for while checking out these two cars?

 

What were the prices asking? I have one in my state just North of you and its going for 20999, 2014 Premium with tech package, pearl white, with just 21K miles.


The Sport will give you a little harsher ride because of a stiffer suspension and 19 inch wheels. Struts replaced while under warranty is very uncommon. If they both have the tech package then they are pretty similar except for the suspension and the premium has the duel panel sun roof. Take both for a test drive over the same route and try to find some speed bumps to go over slowly to check for noise in the suspension. The one car that has 70K on it is past due for the CVT oil change if it hasn't been done and also tires if they are the original.
I have owned a 2009 SV Sport for 7 years now and have had no issues of any kind. really the best and most reliable car I have ever owned.
