2009 Maxima Exhaust Replacement

Hey all! I have a question and wondering if anyone can help me out! I have a 2009 Nissan Maxima that needs some exhaust work. I backed into a curb and shifted my whole system forward and the mechanic friend said I shifted my whole exhaust forward and it cracked something further up. He said that it could be my calcitic converter up off the manifold. Is this possible? See attached picture the red circles for where he thinks it could be. When the car is running and isn’t moving exhaust comes in though my vents. Unless I shift it to inside air only. And it sounds like a tank. Have gotten a ticket for inoperable muffler
I have been looking and buying the whole exhaust system as each flange with the bolts is sawed off and soldered and replace it. Maybe even including the intake manifolds. Is that possible for someone with just a floor jack and a decent amount of mechanical experience? Or do you need a full lift to get to the system? Any special tools? and any tips?
thanks everyone!

You have a big problem and a dangerous one at that. Your first step is getting a professional exhaust shop to look at it and see what it takes to fix it. Get a couple of quotes from different places, including just labor (you supply the parts) and labor and parts with the shop doing everything. Maybe some parts on the exhaust system can be reused thereby lessening your costs. If you are going for a complete replacement OEM parts alone will be around 3 grand, aftermarket more depending on what manufacturer used and if you desire good materials. Bottom line unless you have experience doing exhaust work I would leave it to the professionals to do.

I am no longer driving the car, and am looking to try to fix it myself. To save the cost of a shop. I was looking to purchase the parts one at a time and slowly work on it. And dangerous how? I understand if there is a leak that it could happen if it is not sealed properly. But what other things could happen? Thanks for the reply!

All the oval flanges where the 2 bolt hole are on the sides are cut off so modification to the new pipes would have to be done. And the problem is not within those pipes it’s up higher closer to the exhaust manifold coming off the engine. I wish it was an easy fix as the straight pipe and 2 mufflers haha

Cracked or leaking manifold pre-cat can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning. You can't smell it.
