2011 SV Emergency Brk Lght & Battry, Light
On my 2011 with 121K miles, runs great, intermittently my Emrgny. Brke. light and Battry Lght. flashes on. Stays on for maybe
10-20 minutes then goes off. Sometimes both lights come on when applying the brake to a stop !!
Does anyone have an idea ? bad caliper ??, bad brake cable ? I did adjust the brake cable with the adjusting screw just under
the emergency brake pedal, did not last more that a few months.
Anyone have ideas

I had the exact situation on an 03 Maxima and had to replace the alternator.
If fact, you'll start to feel hesitation on acceleration as alternator gets weaker.

Same thing happened in my 2010 with 128k, car died driving it to the shop had to jump it to get it there. That is nissans way of telling you alternator is about to take a poop. Kind of like the star on the side of a helmet is the nfl s way someone will be taking a poop.
Thanks All:
Just had my alternator and battery checked. All is within specs, Alternator is putting out 14 Volts DC, and battery is @ 13 Volts. One of my mechanics advised me there is a voltage meter
attached to the negative lead off the battery. He mentioned I might want to check the connections. I Removed the battery and was astonished at all the fuses on the Positive lead.
I located the so called 'Voltage Meter' and it looks like a Current Transformer coil that sends a CT reading to somewhere? Do any of you knowledgeable guys have experience with this
CT transformer ( or whatever it is?) and if it fails, would it give the reading of a failing alternator ??
Thanks
