Exclamation 2012 Spoiler Removal

Hey y'all so I have a close friend who is starting a wrapping company and we decided to do my car as his brand launch, so I told him I would get the spoiler off so we could wrap the trunk and Spoiler then realized there is no videos out there to show you how to do so, does anyone have any advice on how to take it off?

You can start by removing the liner from the inside of the trunk lid to see how the spoiler and wiring are attached.

IIRC, there are 3 or 4 studs mounted in the spoiler that pass through corresponding holes in the trunk lid. After you get the liner off, you'll see the nuts. Remove them and disconnect the the harness at the connector.

Let me know if you're successful at removing it, as I had no luck in removing mine. I applied a fair amount of force and chickened out........wasn't able to get it to budge and was afraid I would break mine.

I suppose I should have gotten out the heat gun.

Hey man so you were right it was just those bolts beneath the liner and then it took me and my friend a TON of force to pull it up, we even took fishing line to get the adhesive on the outside but it is definitely do able the way you said just have another person on the other side to even the force is my only advice
