Need advice for changing '09 Maxima HID Ballast/Igniter Driver's Side
My wife's '09's left side HID low beam is out. The high beams are fine-the right side HID low beam is fine. Fogs/DL's are fine.
I found a blown fuse for the '09 Left Low beams, which I replaced. BUT not before I ordered a set of HID Xenons (from ePrey) and here's the kicker: The new bulb won't work either.
There is some clouding on the old bulb, but the new bulb isn't exactly crystal clear at the center of the filament either. I do get continuity on the new bulb from the ring conductor to the wire that runs to the top of the new bulb, but I don't get continuity at the same points on the old bulb.
So, the fuse is good, the new bulb (ostensibly) is good and I think that all that's left is the ballast/igniter unless there is something else I'm missing.
I'm especially looking for help with how to get to the ballast to change it. I changed the bulb from the wheel well.
TIA...
