Desperately Seeking Answers

I have a 2011 Maxima SV. It’s been trouble for me since I bought it. When I’m driving, my car starts slowing down, brake becomes impossible to press, I barely make it safely to the side of the road and the wheels completely lock up. My dad came to help while I was stranded. He hoped it would be only one wheel that was locked but it was all 4(every time it does this). After about an hour or so, it will unlock on its own otherwise, the brakes have to be bled just so I can get it home. It was doing it only so often but now, I barely make it a mile and they lock up. When they lock up, it doesn’t make the engine cut off or anything, it’s just the wheels will not roll. It’s like you’re trying to take off while in the Parked position. I’m so over this crazy car and it’s problems but, I have to work and can’t afford another vehicle right now. Can someone please tell me what could be wrong with it.

Could be your brake booster. Nissan issued a TSB (NTB10153) for some models of 2011 Maximas that were having problems with overly sensitive braking issues.

Really? I didn’t know that. When did they send that out?

This tells me that you have been avoiding the dealer.

Google the phrase TSB (NTB10153)

well, when the dealer charges astronomical prices for things simple things and $12 for a pair of latex gloves, I avoid them as much as possible. Could you tell me exactly where the check valve is located on a 2011 Maxima SV?
