battery/brake/traction light goes on.
2014 with about 60k miles, recently the brake and battery light have been coming on and off randomly when driving. It happens mostly at a stop and rpm's drips a little, but then it goes and doesn't come back. Today I had the car idling for about 20mins and afterwards the brake/battery/traction light came on and the engine wouldn't rev in drive or reverse, once I put it park it would rev fine.
This happened about five or six times when I would have to put it in park rev it a few times before it would drive again. Anyone seen this issue? I was able to drive it home without any issue
Could this be a CVT issue?

Alternator
From my understanding it would be the alternator . Either the alternator is going bad or in my case after I had a new transmission put in I’m guessing they forgot to but a nut where the positive wire hooks to alternator , so it wasn’t getting a good connection . Start with checking your connections on battery and alternator before having to buy new one
check the wiring harness to the alternator. mine had a new alternator and still did this, later on found that the wiring harness had a short and had to solder a new connection. also my car would not move (no throttle in drive) becuase the alternator wasnt charging and completely killed the battery.
probably alternator?
same thing happened to me (2012 max) just recently. traction light and brake light would come on periodically until finally the whole dash lit up and my car died.
I ended up replacing the battery and alternator and now at least the car starts. however, the brake light and traction light are on. it's really cold right now, so I'm not sure if the traction. warning is related to the weather conditions
or same charging issue. I haven't changed my brakes in a while but I don't think they are too bad.
when I replaced the alternator the clip broke so I hade to splice in a connector. pretty sure I wired it in the correct order. Maybe a bad connection on one? when I turned on the car for the first time after installing it and then again this morning it made a clicking noise for a few seconds then stopped. when I took a look under the hood while it was clicking I noticed the alternator looked like it was jerking a bit. but when the clicking stopped the belt looked like it was engaging just fine. any thoughts?
FYI, I also replaced the compressor. I couldn't tell if the clutch engaging was making the clicking noise but the AC system was off.

I experienced the same thing with the brake and VDC traction lights. The fact you say you haven't changed your brakes in a while also might suggest the Brake Fluid level in the Brake Master Cylinder might be low. I found mine was, and after topping it off, problem solved.
