Dome/Map light housing removal

Replacing my interior lights with LEDs. Back lights already have them which is great....Want to change the 2 bulbs in the "Dome/Map Light Housing" above on the SR (glasses case, interior light buttons).

Any special tricks to remove the housing? I tried a few times but can't see to do it and do not want to break it. Thanks!

From what I understood, all of the interior lights are already LEDs.

Interesting...the 2 visible bulbs do not look like LEDs.

The rear map lights are LEDs, the front are not.

I'm all about LEDs, but I was looking at the front map/ dome lights last night and they are a very bright, white light that seems to match the color and brightness of the rear lighting. I'm not sure what advantage there would be to going to all of the trouble to change them to LEDs. If there are advantages that I'm not considering, please educate me. Thanks.

Hey doctorpullit, they are ok, but switching the bulbs should take no more than 2 minutes, assuming the Dome Map housing can come off easily or enough to switch the bulbs. Trying to grab the round bulb in there right now is impossible with my sausage fingers
