SL headlights
Hey guys, new member here
So here is another question about changing the low beam headlights on my SL. But here's the kicker. I leased my SL, so I am looked for a replacement bulb. I am not looking for an HID or LED conversion kit because they will charge me when I bring the car back.
So what are the best low beam LED bulbs that I can just plug in.
Also, how do you get to the low beams? Do you have to take off the bumper or go through the wheel well?
Sorry if I misunderstood certain aspect. Please feel free to correct me.
Thanks in advance for your help

I'm about to get an SL myself on a lease deal, from what I hear, these bulbs are straight up drop in, plug & play. Was considering doing the maxima platinum but the lease rate is just too expensive. I found a guy who installed them in an accord on YouTube & they're the same bulb size as the maxima H11, pretty easy. If I grab an SL, I too will do this.

It's much easier than HID kits, no mounting ballasts, etc.

This is a post from my Camry days (one week ago) that is very insightful and just loaded with information. This guy would test things to no end.

The HID "kit" is easily (was easier in my Camry as I could reach the headlights through the hood) removed and if you save your stock halogens you just throw those back in when its time to take it back to the dealer.
I haven't attempted it yet, but it would be much easier to go through the wheel well than to remove the bumper.

This guy did it on a late model Altima, I assume it's similar to the maxima.

You have tobe careful about trading early, of course, since you can get into negative equity territory just as you can with conventional financing. In fact, I was always upside-down even when i financed my cars, so there's not a whole lot of difference there. But in some cases you can actually come out better by trading out of a lease, especially down near the end of the term, since you just might actually have some equity in the car.
I turned a car in at the end of my lease one time, and I hated the hassle of getting it inspected and nitpicked to death. If you take care of your car it should be worth as much as the residual specified in the lease anyway, so IMO it's easier to just trade it in.

I'm always a little surprised how many people lease cars and actually turn them back in to the dealer at the end. I always trade mine well before the end of the lease and just take advantage of the lower payments while I have it.
