My girlfriends new cx5 locks out gps entry while moving which is annoying as hell, especially since the passenger in our case will usually enter in destinations. Do the new maximas do this as well? If so is there a way to disable this?

My 2011 gti doesn't have this restriction and it's come in handy for many longer trips.

Hell yes it does have massive restrictions , and I hate it too, Nissan is super restrictive, you can't input new addresses, you can't dial numbers unless you go less than 5 mph. I was driving a Kia Soul with simpler functions while I didn't have my car and it does all of that while moving, like call and dial and receive texts. If you have iOS you can receive texts but you can't send any out with their interface on a maxima.

Nissan wants you to use their voice command setup for that to work While driving which can be annoying half the time. I heard that the last gen Maximas had a secret menu that let you enable those functions.
