I'm having the worst luck with the diffuser. Order came in two weeks ago and some of the matt black paint did not bond to the plastic and flaked right off. Got another one yesterday and the same thing but in a different spot. Almost at the point of just not putting one on but will give them one more shot. Stillen has great customer service. They said they will go over production to make sure it will not happen again. Make sure you guys inspect yours thoroughly when u get it.

 

Oh, that's troubling to hear. I was thinking about ordering one. I may have to rethink that.

 

Stillen rocks! Just get it unpainted and have it painted locally so you can deal with paint issues easier if they come up.

 

I may do that. They might discount me the cost to repaint it. Been itching to put it on. Might just put it on and repaint later. Need to find a good shop.

 

Installed diffuser. Will fix the paint later.

This was a problem with the packaging. The way that this diffuser sits in the packaging is unlike any other diffuser we make. The problem was that the diffuser was not properly supported, 100% our fault.

The part was being flexed inside the packaging and the paint was subsequently cracking/flaking. We have identified what the problem is and have corrected it so that we will not have this issue in the future.

Nice to hear the Stillen team is standing tall to fix this issue. That said, I don't much car for the "toothy" look though it will certainly stand out in a crowd.
