What all do you need to lower a maxima? What brand springs would you reccomend? Is it hard to do? Thinking about lowering mine but since this is the first time owning a Maxima I would like to have more info on what to buy and if the install is hard before I do it. Thanks in advance

 

Currently there is no direct aftermarket support for the 2016 Nissan Maxima except for the Eibach Pro Kit. But they're showing to use the 13+ Altima springs (Eibach part # 63115.140). Other people have used the 7th gen Maxima springs and coils. Seen some also using 7th gen bags.

 

So would you reccomend waiting til they make springs or coil overs for the car or it wouldn't be to bad using any of the other things?

 

Eibach has the 2016 Nissan Maxima having same springs as the 13+ Altima. I did check the part #s with Nissan with OE springs for altima vs max and they were different. If Eibach did research and says it's OK to use, I'm OK with that. I ordered mine yesterday and waiting. I believe I made a mistake of ordering with shockwarehouse.com (has HORRID reviews). Just waiting it out now. I'm in no rush for it anyhow so I'll see how this pans out.

 

Alright well when you get everything and have it put on would you be able to show me a picture of how it ends up? I would really appreciate it. Since this is my first time with a maxima and still learning on this car.

join the 8th gen Maxima Facebook group, theres a bunch of guys there on lowering springs, coilovers, bags etc with plenty of pics....

 

We carry the Eibach springs if anyone is interested. Great inexpensive way to make the car look more aggressive without going too deep (literally.)

How is the ride quality now?

 

The ride quality is ok but I hate when I go over sharp bumps in the road. It seems that the strut might pop through the hood, hard hit and feels as if the care is bottoming out.

I love the look and overall the ride is ok but not what i have had in the past when lowering cars.

 

I just lowered my SR with the Eibach part # 63115.140. Got an 1-1/4" drop on all 4 corners and I don't notice any difference in ride quality.

 

Can you post a pic please? I'd love to see what it looks like lowered.
