Would these rims fit?
Hi all. I have an opportunity to put ruff racing r281 chrome rims m offset +25 on my car. Was curious if the offset would work? I have no idea what I'm talking about when it comes to wheels and fitment. Usually I just go to a place and buy what they say fits, but this opportunity came up and they look good in black. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
They came off my buddies Honda Accord.

Factory rim shouldn't be too aggressive of an offset, so yes they would fit. The tire size will give you a problem. Most people are running 245/35R20 with some rubbing and some not, but very little in the front. The rears people have been going with 255/35R20 if they do have too wide of a wheel.
As for the ruff racing wheels, you may have problems with the front tires rubbing against the liner on extreme turns. These wheels sound like they would fit, but if you're planning on lowering, you would definitely have to roll the rear fenders.

I'm running 20x8.5 front 20x10 rear Giovanni's wrapped in 245/45/20 all around, lowered on Eibachs, with a -.5 degree camber in the front with no rub at all. Daily driver and the ride is beautiful!

tc8510-again I'm learning more each day, as I mentioned before I gave people money and they did stuff to my car and I knew nothing of details. So with that said, are your rims offset the same as these? Or are they different? I am so close to biting the bullet and going to a wheel shop and just have them get me wheels that fit properly. But as I said I have a good opportunity (if they fit) so I want to be sure before I pass. Thank you

Yea, now this is getting more complicated, and forcing me to Google all this stuff, camber and offset, I don't know what to do. I will think about it this weekend and try to come up with an answer. Thanks again

Camber is the wheel tilting in and out. Negative camber tucks wheels under wheel wells. But wear out the inside of your tires prematurely if too aggressive.
Offset is based on the hub of the wheel the more positive you go with lower number the more the wheel sticks out side of the fender. Whit Maximas you want to stay within +32 and +45.
Any lower than +32 the more you will have to negative camber your wheels. Which will cause you to eat thru your tires.
There you go in a nut shell.

I used to be in the same boat as you with trying to figure this sh*t out... but that's why there are forums so we can help!
That ruff racing wheel is a nice wheel I had a set on my 99 Buick Regal GS.

I spent a good 5 hours trying different configurations, going back out to the car with a straight edge and a ruler taking measurements. I found it very calming actually.
The wheels you were originally asking about thought will stick out 10 mm further out compared to mine, and the rears will stick out 23 mm further out than mine. Will definitely have the wheels passing the fender.

Wow, Thank you both. I almost want to know what you have so I can copy it. Thats exactly the look I want. I love the flush tucked look. Guess I will pass on those rims and continue my search, but now with all your help, I know what to look for, so thank you again for the advice, pictures and words of encouragement.

This online calculator may be helpful (current factories are 245/45/19, 8”, Offset: 50 on the SR):

I believe the SRs are 245/40R19

Looking for optional tire size
I ordered 18 inch wheels for my platinum but after ordering I realized they have an offset of 35 which means they will stick out about 15 mm. I wanted to use the stock tire's for now (245/45/18) but I'm thinking with the additional stick out the front wheels will hit the liner. Has anyone tried this combination with a ÷35 offset? If you had rubbing what tire did u try? I was thinking 255/40/18 might do the trick?

Ok so I have another question guys. So when i visit www.willtheyfit.com and
I get answer like the one below:
"Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 1.3mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 11.4mm more than before."
I understand the distance that the outer rim pokes out, but the distance closer to the suspension strut, is that a critical number? Does the lower number mean that I would more likely rub if I hit a bump? Is there any travel in that number or is it a fixed distance? What is the true meaning of it?
Hope this question makes sense. Thanks guys!

The rubbing doesn't happen with the suspension, it's the fender or liner that rubs the tire. If the tire is hitting the suspension, that's very bad news. 1.3 mm closer to suspension isn't bad at all though

Thank you. I understand what causes the rubbing. I just wasn't sure what the acceptable distance is from the suspension and if the distance minimizes with the springs or is it a fixed distance.

Would these rims fit?
I have a 2017 maxima sr thinking of upgrading my rims
would 19x8.5 +40 with 245/40/19 front and 19x9.5 +40 with 265/35/19 rear work or would there be fitment issues, any insight appreciated

Whatever WHEELS and tires you choose, there is a risk of messing up the handling on a staggered front rear set up. Let alone rubbing fenders etc. Really this is not a BMW so is it the car that will benefit from this upgrade?
