New owner of 2016 Maxima SL - NissanConnect question

Hello, I just pickup a red 2016 Maxima SL over the weekend and absolutely love the car. I have been searching this forum regarding the NissanConnect but most of them applied to the Platinum trim; I was able to get the NissanConnect App from my Android phone to connect to the car (showing green car icon on the upper right hand corner in my phone) but when I touched the NissanConnect icon on the car display screen, it opened up a blank Apps page and just sat there doing nothing.

Are there supposed to be apps in this page? What can I do to fix the problem?

Is it worth it to try to get the NissanConnect app to work with the SL trim? I don't plan to listen to Pandora or iHeartRadio... My understanding is only the Platinum trim has useful features within NissanConnect but not with any other trim levels.

Thank-you

It works fine with my S model and iPhone 6s Plus. Not much to see there but it works. Trust me, you ain't missing much.

Just out of curiosity, how did you connect to NissanConnect in your Maxima? I can't figure it out. I have an SL also. I thought this feature was only available on trim levels higher than the SL. I created an account on the Owner's Portal. I connected my phone via USB cable and Bluetooth to no avail. I did not find an icon on my Navi display. Thanks in advance.

I just picked up a 2016 Platinum a few days ago. Your salesman should have tried to help you set all that stuff up. Mine went out of his way to try, but the connection was down on the car and he said they will need to run it through service dept Friday to get it configured.

Wow, interesting. I looked all over and did not see it on my display. I will ask the dealership when I bring the car in this weekend. Thanks for your reply!

You have to put your Android on Bluetooth and link it to you car. Once it is linked touch the Nissan Connect App and then your phone will go to driving mode whenever you start it. You can open your text messenger and turn it off or select an automated reply message.
