Leather dashboard

I'm just curious what people are using to keep dashboards clean. Is the dash leather like the seats or is it vinyl? If it is leather are people using leather cleaner and protectors on it?

I'm pretty sure it's vinyl. That's a guesstimate but no way would Nissan be cool enough to put leather in this vehicle instead reserving it for their luxury Infiniti line which also has the same vinyl.

I use a leather and vinyl cleaner on everything, then finish with Meguiar's leather conditioner, its safe on leather and vinyl, doesn't leave a greasy residue like other products, and it smells good to!

However, I only use a warm damp cloth on the fake Alcantara on the steering wheel and seat inserts.

I use a damp micro fiber cloth to clean off the dust.

You guys think the vinyl will fade from the sun and needs some type of protectant?

This is a custom shade that fits the window exact. The cons so far are:
1. Its size. You can roll it up tight but its still as tall as your window.
2. It was fairly expensive for what it is.
3. It took 3 weeks to get it as apparently they were waiting for more to be manufactured.

the only thing leather on the dash is the "hump piece" over the speedo binnacle in front of the driver.

You should try out a Swiffer hand duster. I leave the pad in the car and wipe down every couple of days in 2-3 mins. Wife came up with this one.
