Wiper blades

Does anyone know what the detriment is of going with a 26 inch drivers blade over the 28 stock size.
I can explain further.

I really like the Rain X blades and have found that they make 2 different hybrid blades. One is called the Rain X Fusion which is only available online but in the stock 28/16 sizes.
Then there is the Expert Fit Hybrid blade available locally but only in 26/16 sizes.

I rather just be able to grab them locally when needed.
I do replace my blades every 6 months religiously.

Someone suggested the beam style blades, but, I have a problem with the beam style blades. All of them leave a streak of rubber from the passenger side blade, which is directly in my line of vision. I've had this problem with different cars and different makes of wipers. I keep the windshield clean as I can and have wasted too much time and money to keep trying to replacing them. Beam style are $$! The hybrid style seem to work the best for me.
Thanks though.

Since we have wiper blades thread going question. The OEM blades have an offset mounting, i.e. the mounting point is below the blade. I replaced mine with TRICO Onyx Beam Wiper Blade which are also offset the same way but the drivers side does not sweep all the way to windshield edge the way the OEM blade does.

Thoughts. BTW I like the TRICO blades
