Sirius XM boot up issues

Occasionally my 2016 Maxima Sirius deck will only boot up to the operating screen and not show any of the logos for the presets, just some generic indications of the station number without the logo or any other info. This repairs itself if I shut off the car and restart, not just by simply cycling the power button. None of the other screens seem affected, only Sirius. Anyone else experience this? It occurs maybe 20% of the time when starting....

Mine has done this on occasion, but way less than 20%. I have noticed it is when I don't have a clear view of the sky.

Yes, even tree canopies can block the satellite from the car. And the car does not instantly receive data from the satellite. There is a tad of electronic 'handshaking' necessary before the car begins receiving data. Bridges, tunnels, high walls on the south or southwest side of the car, heavy cloud cover, and especially rain can block or distort the signal.

Mine does that at times. Sometimes it takes a couple of minutes for it to become responsive as well. It will be playing the last channel it was on, but I can't change the channel or anything.

In fall of 2015, it was three months. May still be that.

Yep, still 3 months, one of the shorter trials going now.

Mine is up for renewal after one year and the renewal prices are horrible! I have the XM and the weather / traffic. Anyone getting reductions for renewals if you call in?

you can try to call in and say you are going to cancel, usually when I do this they offer 6 Months of XM Select for 29.99. I don't think this comes with the Weather/Traffic so you may have to add on.
