I am trying to make a decision on which Maxima to purchase. Dealer is currently offering invoice pricing plus a $5k rebate on a 2016 loaded Platinum.

I can still get invoice plus a $2500 rebate on a 2017 Platinum with a few less options (interior lighting, exterior ground lighting, Illuminated kick plates, spoiler).

My understanding is the only differences between 2016 and 2017 is Apple Carplay and a couple of trim packages on the 2017. The 2016 has most of the items from one of the new trim packages as it is (I am holding out hope that they will release the 2017 entertainment software as an update for 2016s given that they have the same system).

I am leaning heavily toward the 2016, but wanted to run it by others for anything I am not considering that would put the 2017 on top beyond being a year newer.

Save the money, warrantee will be the same, features are the same minus a few details...but if the 16 gives you better leverage on price and you found one you love, then go that route.

When was the 2016 manufactured- check the lower front driver pillar sticker for
Month and year car was manufactured. I know some dealers still have early 2016 on there lots. Also you need to check if the 2016 is effected by all the recalls most importantly is the latest recall about antilock brake system.
