Odd IPOD Classic Issue
Odd IPOD Classic Issue
Hi All,
So, I've had an ipod classic 120gb for a while now and worked perfectly fine in my 7th gen. Got the 8th gen in June and it worked perfectly fine until about 2 months ago where everything would display on the screen but heard no audio. Thought I heard the hard drive clicking so I replaced it with a m2 ssd adapter and m2 ssd and after all was said and done, has been working perfectly fine until yesterday. Again, same issue, no audio. Everything else seems fine, changing tracks, album art, all ipod menu functions, ect... Just no audio. All other audio works fine, sirius xm, bluetooth, other devices plugged into both usb ports. Even a smaller ipod mini works fine.
Any thoughts on what may be going on here?
Thanks for any ideas.
Steve

Thanks for responding. Thats exactly what ultimately fixed the issue. It was odd that I tried everything conceivable to resolve before swapping the drive for an ssd but just rebooting a few times an plugging in to the pc with itunes seemed to eventually fix it.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
