New to the Forum

Hi, I am new to this forum. I just purchased a 2017 Maxima Platinum edition in Bordeaux Black with Cashmere interior.

My story is I owned a 2013 VW Passat TDI that was one of the cars in the VW emissions scandal. VW bought the car back from me in late December and I bought the Maxima on 12/30/16.

I started looking at cars in September of 2016 and drove probably 6-7 different models from Lexus, Audi, Mazda, Toyota. When I drove the Maxima I fell in love with the car. The styling, features and performance is awesome. I kept going back to the dealer and probably drove it 5-6 times.

I know I've only owned it for 10 days, but I am really enjoying the car so far. I hope this was a sound purchase. i look forward to reading the good advice from this forum and hope I have many years of driving pleasure from the car.

Thanks

First of all welcome to the family Rml612. I know it can be a pain shopping for cars in general. And as long as you put in your homework and are satisfied with your decision thus far, that is all that matters. This is a great forum and we all try to support one another from all different angles. Enjoy your new MAX!!!!!

Welcome Rml612, I also returned two TDIs, a 2014 and 2012, I had 5 MAXs before and just wanted to try something else and hit VW, the info out there about the TDIs was good at that time, but at the end it paid off. I am back to my 6th Maxima... Welcome.

Yeah, the TDI's had good press at the time, I liked the car, it was roomy, the fuel economy was great, but in the end selling it back paid off.

I've owned 3 Nissan's but never a Maxima, but I really like what they did with this car.
