Got a odd message this morning after i part. Its say 'Maintenance Other'. Anybody know what this means

 

Need oil change !! You can set schedule on how many milles it needs oil change and rotation on tiles ext. you have to reset it after you have done oil change or rotation on tires.

 

'Maintenance Other' is Nissan USA code for "Owner needs to read and become familiar with Owner's Manual so he/she can understand and operate features of this vehicle."

 

Maintenence Other could be set to monitor a cabin air filer for example. The warning would not say change cabin air filter but that Maintenence Other might give you a nudge to have that item changed.

I do understand your plight on reading any manual especially if you are a visual learner. Revisit your sales rep to help you set things up.

 

Rob is correct. Someone set up this reminder without your knowledge or maybe you did, as I once did, and forgot what I was trying to remind myself of. On your system there is no way to describe what this Maintenance Other is. Just go in and set the Maintenance Other mileage setting to zero.
