Motordyne v Stillen..which exhaust is best

So I have done my research (YouTube vids) on with exhaust may be the one for me. I know cost is a big difference between the two..but was wondering if any other members on here bought these exhaust and could state why or why not you like the exhaust you chose.

On a related topic.. has anyone tried replacing tge exhaust tips? Can the existing ones be removed? I would like to get something that sits more flush.. sticks out a little..

No comparison. Motordyne hands down. It is comparing apples to oranges. It was the best V6 sounding exhaust I've ever heard or had. The only debate is your pocketbook.

Pocketbook is true when it comes too both exhaust. Did you experience any drone issues? Do you think the maxima improved in HP gains as they claim?

Good question as the 7th Gens with custom exhausts
often sounded like the car was "mooing" on take off. I'm guessing the 8th gen should be better since the CVT has been tightened up alot.

The shift points on my 8th gen seem to be better than previous generation. Usually I have better feed back since I have the SR with paddle shifters. When I decide which exhaust too go with i will post pics and a video

It really depends to be honest. If you want that deep throat roar then obviously go with motordyne. On the lighter note, stillen exhaust. Big price difference too. So far i got the stillen exhaust and i am liking it.

I do like the roar of the motordyne! I have not herd the stillen exhaust in person so I cannot compare. Did you also do a resonator delete? And how is the drone with the Stillen axle back?

I have the stillen and it sounds great. However I'm thinking about getting the Motordyne ART Y-pipe. Has anyone done this?

That's a good question. Do you have any drone issues?

There's a very slight drone at the beginning of accelerating but it's more soothing than it is bothersome.

Yes, i am running stillen exhaust with reso delete with stillen CAIntoo. I dont really hear any droning with the car. The reso delete totally made more deeper roar for sure. I will post a video once i have time.

Awesome. I've herd this setup on YouTube and it sounds pretty good. Was going g with motordyne because I'm leasing the car. Who knows I might just say screw it and commit too buying the car. Do you feel any better hp gains or throttle response from this setup? Any good reads on mpg? Would love too hear your video as well. Thanks

Does a muffler change efffectively make it roar for less $?

Any one chime in on the exhaust tone of just a Magnaflow 11225 muffler, per pep boys and a full stillman or other system on a 2017 nissan max SR???

I heard the muffler today in a earlier post. Any one compare sounds??

Do either of these void the warranty on a leased vehicle??

I too am leasing a vehicle. If you want too play it safe then your best bet is to stick with the stillen axle back or with the motordyne exhaust. Both systems are bolt on so no welding required. Motordyne in my opinion is the best sound and gains..but it's also the most expensive.

Thanks.. nissan has a tough policy for returned vehicles to be in original cond. I am hoping my car can be sold at lease end to a private party, because i am changing some minor things, door handles being matched to body, new rims, de-badging the rear, and making the trunk lid body color instead of chrome, Stillen rear diffuser... I will hold some things to replace at lease end... but i hope I dont have to.

IS there a big difference in performance of an exhaust system as discussed here because changing the muffler is a hell of a lot cheaper at 90$ ea.

Axle back exhaust mostly give you a little more sound.. Not really performance gains. If compared with a CAI then you may see some more gains. Cat-back systems will give you the gains and sounds. Some members have done the stillen axle back with a resonator delete which would then increase hp and sound.
