Diode Dynamics 2016-2017 Nissan Maxima Switchback DRL LED Boards

Has anybody installed these yet?

I installed mine last weekend and 100% love them. I didn't like how the stock DRL's dim and get almost yellow when the headlights are on. These boards are direct fit replacements and have a real white LED for the DRL and the amber turn signals are a classy touch (IMO). I'll post some pics/video when i get some time this weekend.

The install wasn't bad but pulling the headlight housing apart can get messy if you don't have two people. A heat gun is a must unless you have a huge oven.
wiring it is is a snap as they provide you with a pinout and all the connectors.

can't wait too see photos/video of this mod. I saw the YouTube video of them doing something similar. I've been interested in doing this myself.

Here are a few stills of the lights and of the headlights opened up if anyone is curious. As you can see the Diode Dynamics boards are a direct fit, very nicely done. Biggest challenge of this mod was opening the headlights......heat gun + heat proof gloves + patience. the new board install and electrical connections could not have been made any easier.

Here is a link to a you tube video i made just showing the functionality -

I shot the video at dusk as night time there is just too much light bleed and the video looks horrible.

Nice job, that's a pretty cool upgrade. Unfortunately I just don't have the patience to deal with that kind of stuff anymore. My nephew just bought a 2017 SL, maybe I should talk him into upgrading his and then have him do mine. He did a bunch of stuff to my 99 Max when I sold it to him.

Hey I know this is old but I’m debating on doing this to mine. We’re you able to just put the headlights back together with no issues or did you have to buy some more sealing glue to get them back together? Also do they dim down when the headlights kick in or does the brightness not change?

Good questions! They do dim down when the headlights are turned on.

We do recommend purchasing more headlight sealant in order to get a good seal. You can check out the butyl headlight sealant that we offer here and the YouTuber video explaining how to reseal your headlights below!
If you don't feel comfortable with the process, we also have a great network of Authorized Installers who can help you out as well!
