Upgrading Rotors

Im looking to upgrade my rotors because my brakes keep on squealing and the dealer can't seem to fix it. It seems to be a problem with their rotors or pads because they replaced them 3 times in 6 months now and it keeps on reoccurring. I'm looking to put 350z rotors. Has anyone done that to their 16 maxima? Or are there any better options (possibly drilled or slotted)?

That's an odd way of going about things. First off, the stopping power of the new Max is quite decent. Unless you're looking for something to keep cool in constant high speed braking/racing, then you should not waste your money upgrading, as you may or will void parts of your car's warrantee. It seems to me I'd bet on two constants in this scenario. The dealership is putting something together wrong every time, or you're braking style could also be culprit. Bottomline, the factory rotors and pads shouldn't be doing this 3 different times. The point I make about the braking style, if you’re a hard constant braker, you’re heating up the pads and rotors constantly, they are going to get glazed or in some way damaged. The only other thing that can cause issues if you live or frequent a dirt/sandy road, and keep getting debris between the pads and rotors, that can cause uneven wear and lead to noisy brakes.

I also get a faint front wheel chirp heard only as I leave the driveway at very low speeds. The brakes work great, do not pull, so at 16 K miles I am just watching it till the next oil change.

yeah dude me too, squealing from the front, had them replace the rotors, pads and all the hardware and it is STILL happening from the front. Next time I go in I'm going to complain again, not sure what more they can do... it happens at every stop sign, stop light low speeds etc

It could just be from surface rust that forms after driving in wet conditions. This occurs especially when the vehicle sits for a period of time without being driven. I have 6k on my 16 SL that's driven a few times a week and occasionally get some squeaking at low speeds backing out of the garage and for the first few stops at higher speeds until it wears down again. That's fairly normal behavior, at least in my case. Nonetheless I find the brakes to be quite good. Hope this helps.

Right, my car is garaged and doesn't sit, i have 21k miles on my '16 already. its been happening since 10k miles and this will be the 3rd time. If it was every once and while it would be okay, but every single time I come to a stop for the past 6 months gets pretty obnoxious after a while. We'll see
