Shift lever click

You know how the shift lever is locked in Park until you step on the brake pedal? Is is normal for the lock to make a loud click every time it activates? Like, louder than the turn signal?

I think I've heard that too. Think it's fine. It's probably just the mechanism unlocking the shifter so you can shift.

I listened for this last night and today. I can hear a click, but it doesn't seem loud to me.

It's normal every push to start I have had made that noise.
