Weird question, i have had my 2017 Maxima for about 3 months and this morning i could get volume on Apple Car Play but not when i tried to use the phone or radio. I could not even get FM source to pop in to play the radio. I cannot even hear the navigation system.

i tried turning on and off the power but to no avail. Am i missing something ?

I'm not sure it totally addresses the problem...but it seems that the map directions have a separate volume control than music. I'll try to explain.

When I'm listening to music and turn the volume up, the music turns up (of course). But when i'm listening to music and a map direction comes on over it, if i turn the volume up while it's giving me a direction it turns up the map direction volume but not the music volume. Make sense?

It has happened to me where i've inadvertently turned down the map directions volume to so quiet that I didn't hear it -- even though music volume was ok.

It took a bit of paying attention to when a map direction was coming up in order to turn the volume back up at the right time.

 

Hey Craig Did you figure out a solution for this? I am having this same issue right now with my 2017 Maxima. The Audio is off and will not turn on. Won't let me listen to the radio and no audio for Navi or Carplay.
