Got rims fixed today. They look great and $105.00 each. Took him an hour to do both.

Where'd you go to get them worked on?

See if this company has someone in your area. They just fixed mine. You can see the pics I posted in a thread below.

I would personally plastic dip wheel with mate black. Problem solved, on the plus side it will be a fun project to do it yourself.

Did you find a local place? How did they turn out? DO you have any pix?
I have had my Maxima now for a month (from a Sentra SR) and the length threw me off. Now I have major curb damage on the rear passenger wheel, not something you can buff out. I'm not sure if there is much here in my area and may have to drive to Atlanta.

Anyone else have issue with scratches or damage on the wheels so easily?

Yes, I have messed up two wheels while nestling to the curb-side of parking spaces in order to be further away from the adjacent space and reduce the chances of door dings from that adjacent space. This 8th gen Maxima is by far the easiest vehicle to ding wheels on that I have ever owned.

I simply asked the service manager at my dealer for the name/phone # of a good wheel man, because all dealers have need of that type service. He even comes by the dealership one day each week.

They generally do a very good job, and this certainly is less expensive than replacing the wheels.

OK. Good advice. I think I will do that. The aluminum part of the alloy must make it so easy to scratch and SCAR. It's quite depressing.
