3M Vinyl Caliper Wraps

While doing some browsing for caliper covers for my 17 Super Black Platinum I came across 3M vinyl wraps for calipers. It is heat resistant and can be self installed. Also it is reflective and when you see it at night it almost looks as if the calipers are on fire.

Has anyone else heard of this? I searched quite a bit and found a couple of threads in other forums of people that did this a couple of years ago but nothing recent.

Just want to make sure before I get started with this I'm not going to cause the brakes to over heat or cause some type of damage.

I had it done to my car (2016 Maxima SV) they get dirty after a while but can be cleaned. They also look great. 100% recommend over paint
