ANC/ASE Problems

Has anyone had any problems with the Active Sound Enhancement system. I have a 2016 Maxima SR. When in Sport Mode, the exhaust has always been loud inside under hard acceleration. Now it doesn't get loud inside at all. My understanding is that this sound comes from the ASE System. At the same time, the stereo sounds like certain frequencies are being cancelled when driving. Anyone else had this problem and if so, how was it resolved? Also, I have already checked to make sure that both the ANC and ASE systems are enabled. Thanks.

Which speaker does this enhanced sound come from? Maybe the speaker died.

I am not sure which speakers produce the sound, but I used the speaker test feature on the factory radio and all speakers produced a tone like they were supposed to. All speakers seem to be functioning correctly.

Did the ASE system work when all the radio gear was turned off?

According to a Nissan Technical Article Online, the ASE System only works when the Bose Audio System is on.
